Old Friend, New Dean

The Regents Academy Board of Directors is proud to announce the hiring of Lance Vermillion as the school’s Academic Dean, beginning in the 2012-13 school year. Mr. Vermillion, who taught at the school from 2003-2009, will both teach and be a part of the administrative team. Lance, his wife Anna, and their five children will move to our area this summer from Texarkana. Welcome, Vermillion family!

Eagle Award Winners

Congratulations to Andria Sowell, Caleb Henry, and Anna Daniel, this year’s Eagle Award winners. The Eagle Award honors students who display “exemplary conduct, academic achievement, and a positive attitude toward school.” Great job, guys!

Unsung Heroes

Many, many sincere thanks to this year’s Unsung Hero Award winners: Farrar and MaryAnn Bentley. The Bentleys have selflessly served Regents Academy for many years, and they are greatly loved and appreciated. The Bentleys were presented with the Unsung Hero Award at the school’s Academic Awards ceremony on May 25.

Queen and Her Court

Congratulations to Regents Senior Elizabeth Castleberry, who was named 2012 Heritage Festival Lady-in-Waiting.
