Administrative

Administrative Assistant (PTE)

Answering directly to the headmaster, the administrative assistant’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to): hot lunch program; communications (blog; social media; emails to parents; daily/weekly supply tasks; hospitality to guests; the BIG Serve; bookkeeping; substitute teachers; and other general administrative duties). Teaching

Kindergarten Teacher OR Teacher’s Aid (FTE)

In view of increased demand, Regents Academy is seeking to add another session of Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 academic year. This individual will serve under the head of grammar school and teach all non-elective subjects from a decidedly classical model and Christian framework. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at another classical Christian School and demonstrate a commitment to professional development. NOTE: It is possible that a final headcount lower than 15 may result in one Kindergarten class with one FT teacher and one FT teacher’s aide.

1st or 2nd Grade Grammar School Teacher (FTE)

Working under the head of the grammar school, this individual will teach all non-elective subjects in 1st or 2nd grade (grade selection dependent on qualifications and experience) from a decidedly classical model and Christian framework. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at another classical Christian School and demonstrate a commitment to professional development. Upper School Humanities Teacher (FTE)

Working under the head of the upper school, this individual will teach an upper school Omnibus course, Writing I & II, and (possibly) assist with Rhetoric II (Senior Thesis). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching comparable courses at another classical Christian School and demonstrate a commitment to professional development. Upper School Choir Director/Music Teacher (PTE or FTE)

Responding directly to the headmaster, the choral director and music teacher will teach upper school and 5th and 6th grades. The ideal candidate will have: experience singing in and directing a concert choir; proficiency in choral sound production, conducting, and sight-singing; a functional knowledge of solfège, choral music, and music history; and familiarity with classical Christian education. This individual should exemplify a lifestyle that brings honor and glory to God and demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Regents Academy. Art Teacher (PTE, ~25%)

Responding directly to the headmaster, this individual will teach either lower or upper school art, or both. The ideal candidate will be familiar with teaching in a classical Christian school, able to teach a variety of art techniques, competent in art appreciation, history, and criticism, experienced in teaching art to different age groups, and knowledgeable of the idea of art as “skillful recreation of God’s world.” A full job description can be viewed here.
