Cotton Gin

6th grade students have been learning about the cotton gin, why it was invented, and its importance. Last week, students had the opportunity to watch a cotton gin operate. Once the students realized the tediousness of separating the cotton seeds from the fibers, they appreciated the cotton gin even more!
