Sarah Grace “Gracie” Alders

Regents Academy is excited to welcome Sarah Grace Alders to our staff for the 2021-2022 school year! Sarah Grace “Gracie” Alders will be a Teacher’s Aide for 1st and 2nd grade as well as the Reading/Literacy Specialist in the grammar school. After starting at Regents Academy in kindergarten and graduating from there in 2017, she spent the last four years at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho, where she earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts & Culture and a Certificate of Music. While in college, she taught and tutored Latin and developed a love for Biblical Hebrew and Classical Greek. She was born and raised on a poultry, cattle, and timber farm in Nacogdoches, with her 9 siblings. Her hobbies include working outside on her family’s farm, playing games with her siblings, nieces, and nephews, and trying to play jazz piano.

Mrs. Angie Nichols

Regents Academy is pleased to add Mrs. Angie Nichols to our staff for the 2021-2022 school year. Angie Nichols will teach second grade in the grammar school this year. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development, with a minor in Health Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. Bringing to Regents Academy twelve years of teaching experience, Angie is elated to teach where two of her three kids currently attend school. Gregg and Angie have been faithfully married for twenty-one years and have been abundantly blessed with raising Joshua (18), Jacob (16), and Elizabeth ( 8 ). As a family, the Nichols enjoy traveling, horse shows, working the ranch, boating, and playing with all their dogs and puppies. One of their family’s life verses is, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work in us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Mr. Stuart Priest

We are pleased to add Mr. Stuart Priest to our staff for the 2021-2022 school year!

Stuart Priest will teach Writing I & II and Omnibus II (Medieval) in the Logic and Rhetoric School. He has a B.A. (summa cum laude) and M.A. in Religion from Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary and has completed all of the coursework for the M.A. degree in History at Stephen F. Austin State University. He has been married to his wife Rachel for four years and they have two sons, with another son coming in August. In his free time, he enjoys reading classical literature, collecting premium Bibles, tinkering with computers, playing with his sons, and taking walks with his family.

Mrs. Lara Sowell Featured on KTRE

We are so proud of or much-beloved Latin teacher, Mrs. Lara Sowell, for the work she does as president of the Lone Star Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Texas. KTRE recently broadcast a story about a mobile app called NFB-NEWSLINE that featured Mrs. Sowell.
