Jesse Vermillion

We are excited to announce that Jesse Vermillion’s essay on Charles Stanfield Taylor has been awarded first place in the recent essay contest held by the Stone Fort Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas! This year’s contest asked seventh graders to research and write about the lives of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Six of our seventh graders submitted essays to the county-wide contest, and Jesse’s will go on to compete at the district level.
