Mrs. Emily McLemore

Rhetoric Drama

Emily McLemore teaches drama in the upper school at Regents Academy. A lifelong performer and musician, she loves to bring the world of the fine arts to life for her students. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, with a concentration in anthropology and a minor in Spanish, from Stephen F. Austin State University. Bridging the gap between anthropology and drama for her is the role of storytelling in culture. Mrs. McLemore believes that the characters and stories we create and share have immense power over the soul and that storytelling uniquely gives us a glimpse into the richness and depth of the human experience afforded to us by our Creator and Sustainer.
In her home life, Mrs. McLemore enjoys crafting, writing poetry, reading, brushing up on her rusty Spanish, and making music. This year, she and her husband were delighted to welcome their first child into the world.
