Dr. Sowell is blessed to be married to Mrs. Lara Sowell, Regents’ primary Latin teacher, and together they were part of the beginning of our school. He had a short stint at the school teaching science labs and coaching basketball.

Dr. Sowell has been practicing podiatry for more than twenty years in the community and serves on other charitable and community boards. He loves reading, art, and travel. He and Mrs. Sowell have had many adventures and he still loves to visit bookstores and art museums. Dr. Sowell also loves playing disc golf in the parks of Nacogdoches and can be seen most Saturday mornings throwing discs at those strange yellow baskets.

He is an active member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and invites you to visit any time you can.
