TAPPS High School Solo Competition in Houston

We are overjoyed to announce that eleven of our talented students recently participated in the TAPPS High School Solo Competition in Houston, where they competed in seven different categories, including vocal and instrumental solos and men’s and women’s ensembles. It brings us immense pleasure to share that five of our categories achieved a “Superior” (1) rating, and two categories received an “Excellent” rating (2). Our competitors truly gave their all, and we would like to recognize their outstanding achievements.

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Susannah Vermillion received a “I” rating for her vocal solo
  • Cate Baker achieved a “I” rating for her vocal and viola solos
  • Mary Kate Hill earned a “II” rating for her piano solo
  • Abel Ketchen earned a “I” rating for his double-bass solo 
  • The Regents Women 6, including Kaitlyn McKenna, Cate Baker, Susannah Vermillion, Gracie Harman, Katelyn Anderson, and Haylee Harman, received a “I” rating
  • The Regents Men 4, including Gabe Shipp, Bryce Terrell, Quint Middlebrook, and Abel Ketchen, received a “II” rating

We are incredibly proud of all of our students who competed and showed great determination and dedication in their performances. Your hard work and commitment paid off in these impressive ratings. Congratulations!
