Iconography

Iconography is a beautiful art form that uses visual images and symbols to communicate theological truths. It is an ancient Christian art form (3rd-4th centuries AD) and provides our students with a unique opportunity to emulate the work of previous iconographers and hone their aesthetic sensibilities. Icon painting at Regents Academy is a project for our juniors and seniors and encourages students to be prayerful and contemplative as they attempt to reflect God’s truth, goodness, and beauty through their artistic creations.
