Mr. Jason Modar

Logic I & II, Omnibus II (8th), Rhetoric I & Omnibus VI (12th)

Mr. Jason Modar resides in Cushing with his wife, five children, dog, and chickens. He teaches omnibus, logic, and rhetoric at Regents Academy. For leisure, Jason reads, writes, and runs. Classis Magazine and the CiRCE Institute have published Jason’s writing, and he spoke at the 2023 ACCS conference.

Jason shapes and cares for students through the classical tradition and Christian faith. These point men towards the Ideal Man. Fully revealed in Christ, the Ideal Man is the man we want students to become – virtuous, wise, eloquent, and godly. Every lesson Jason teaches, Lord willing, points students to the Ideal Man.

Jason holds up examples of truth, beauty, and goodness during class – Christ in the gospels, the martyrdom of Polycarp, the fortitude of Alfred the Great, the courageous crusaders of medieval Christendom, the humility of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, the redemption of Jean Valjean, the beauty of excellent rhetoric. These stories and examples slowly chisel away the excess stone, sculpting students into the Ideal Man.
