Grammar Music
Emily Farrell is a Nacogdoches native and Regents Academy alumnus. Thanks to her parents, she started her musical career as a child studying piano for a decade from a number of beloved teachers. After graduating from Regents, she continued her piano studies at SFA in the School of Music, graduating in the fall of 2013 with a degree in piano performance. She taught elementary music part-time at Regents Academy while maintaining a vibrant piano studio of more than 30 students until 2016. At that time she took a full-time position at Regents Academy continuing to teach elementary music until the spring of 2019, leaving the classroom behind for the nursery. Since then, she successfully completed her training with Kindermusik International and taught Kindermusik classes for four years through the SFA Music Prep program. In the fall of 2024, Emily returned to Regents Academy and the elementary music classroom and subsequently finished her time with Kindermusik.
Emily has accompanied many local groups throughout the years, most notably the SFA Young Violinists and the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches. She has accompanied violin studios, instrumentalists from across the region for UIL competitions, and still plays for church services, weddings, and events when her schedule allows.
Emily’s passion is teaching music to young children and one of her greatest joys is getting to teach her young daughters, Ginny and Mary Jo. Emily lives in rural Nacogdoches with her husband, Robert, and their four children.
