Shannon Henry teaches precalculus in the upper school at Regents. Shannon and her husband, John, are founding members of the school, and John serves as the board’s secretary. Shannon taught at the school from 2002 to 2021, but she is now retired from full-time teaching and is working part-time with John as a bookkeeper for his water utilities management company, DMC Water Works. Shannon is a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and earned her Bachelor’s of Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught a variety of classes throughout the early years of Regents Academy, including grammar, Latin, logic, and P. E., but her primary focus in more recent years was high school science and mathematics.

She has three sons, David, Mitchell, and Caleb, each of whom has graduated from Regents. David is married to Andrea and has one son, Calvin, who attends Regents Academy and will be in 4th grade in the fall. Nothing brings Shannon more joy than to have all her kids gathered around the dining table enjoying each other’s company.
