Janet LaFontaine Duke teaches Kindergarten in the Grammar School and runs the After-School Care Program. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. She spent twenty years in the hospitality industry before joining the faculty at Regents in 2008. She taught K-Prep until 2015 and then switched to the Kindergarten position.

She is married to a local doctor, David Duke. She has four stepdaughters, three of whom are graduates of Regents. She enjoys hiking, reading books, wearing comfy PJs, and spending time with family (including fulfilling her duties as Wicked Evil Stepmonster). She is uniquely suited to the role of Kindergarten teacher, as she also enjoys children’s books, snacks, and recess.
