John Quant serves as Head of the Logic & Rhetoric School and teaches Latin. He has a B.A. in English, with a minor in Jewish Studies from the University of Minnesota, a M.A. in Religion from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in Old Testament from Emory University. Dr. Quant has been married to Holly for 17 years, and they have six children, four of whom attend Regents. Long ago he was president of the Juggling Club at the University of Minnesota, and a member of the Yale Anti-Gravity Society.

In long-forgotten days of misspent youth, he enjoyed reading, juggling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, board games, and working out. Now, he enjoys studying biblical and classical languages, making ‘dad jokes,’ reading children’s books, and listening to audiobooks while doing the dishes.
